[October 21, 2024: Dallas, Texas] NetVia Group, a division of Epec Engineered Technologies and a leader in high-reliability printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing, announced today the addition of the Boffotto P03Q-6L Plasma System to its Dallas facility. This strategic investment significantly expands NetVia’s process capabilities for micro-electronic surface cleaning and surface modification.
The P03Q-6L Plasma System is specifically engineered for high-precision applications, offering six effective reaction zones and a 70L chamber volume. With its 13.56 MHz power supply and PLC-based human interface, this system enables advanced surface activation and cleaning across a wide variety of materials, including plastic, metal, and glass.
“We continue to invest in equipment that strengthens our ability to meet the evolving demands of high-reliability sectors, from aerospace to medical and industrial electronics,” said Ed McMahon, CEO of Epec. “The Boffotto plasma system is a critical addition that enhances adhesion, cleanliness, and reliability across multiple stages of the PCB manufacturing process.”
The P03Q-6L system’s small footprint and versatile electrode configuration also allow NetVia to process a wider range of circuit board sizes and material types, including advanced polyimide laminates and ceramic substrates commonly used in harsh environments.
With this addition, NetVia Group reinforces its position as a best-in-class U.S. PCB manufacturer, capable of supporting the most demanding applications in the global electronics supply chain.
